Nightmare Reaper launches on Steam and GOG

Nightmare Reaper

Nightmare Reaper is leaving Steam Early Access today.

Blazing Bit Games announced the launch of the full game that includes the release of Chapter 3. This retro-inspired FPS with looter shooter and rogue-lite elements draws inspiration from classic 2.5D first-person shooters that were popular in the early to mid-1990s.

“Now that our initial vision of the game is complete and satisfies player expectations, we’re looking at the future with excitement, says Bruno Beaudoin, Blazing Bit founder and lead developer. “We plan on doing many free post-release updates to the game to add features that we and the community dream of.”

The full launch includes more weapons, new game modes, lots of loot, and a conclusion to the nightmare-filled storyline. While this marks the full release of the game, more content is coming in the future including mods, multiplayer, and other game modes.

The game features 80 unique weapons that can drop as loot across multiple game modes including Campaign, New Game+, and Endless Mode. The game’s music and audio come from Andrew Hulshult of Doom Eternal fame.

Nightmare Reaper is available on Steam and GOG for $21.49 with a celebratory 15% launch discount until April 4, 2022.
