Nintendo 3DS Sales Soar After U.S. Price Drop

The Nintendo 3DS price cut seems to have done its job. Nintendo announced on Thursday that the company sold 235,000 3DS handhelds in the U.S. during the month of August, a 260 percent increase over the previous month. The spike in sales can be attributed to an $80 price cut that brought the system down to $170. Only the Xbox 360 outsold the 3DS in August.
