Nintendo 3DS Sells Out in Japan

The Nintendo 3DS launched in Japan on Saturday. The new handheld system sold out on its first day, according to Nikkei. Some stores ran out of stock as early as 9 a.m. The total number sold so far is 400,000 units. Nintendo has said that they expect to ship 1.5 million units in Japan by March 31. They expect that number to be 4 million worldwide.
