Nintendo 3DS Update now LIVE!

After much anticipation, the Web Browser/eShop update for your Nintendo 3DS is now live and available for download. Other features included are automatic updates and the ability to transfer your DSi shop stuff to your system. For a limited time, Nintendo is gifting users with a free copy of ExiteBike in 3D.

Nintendo said this update would be live on June 6 in the evening, but I was not able to download this update until early morning on the 7th. No harm no foul though as everything looks great and I certainly don’t mind having more stuff to play with on my beloved handheld.

The new features are quite impressive. The eShop is easy to navigate and nice to look at, and the web browser is much more intuitive than any other portable browser thus far. On top of these cool new features, Excitebike in 3D looks ultra awesome. 3DS owners are going to be very happy with this update.

Nintendo will more than likely fill the world in on future updates and such during their press event later today at 12pm EST/9am PST. Join us here at that time for our liveblog of the event!
