Nintendo Admits PS3 and 360 Footage Used in Wii U Video

IGN is reporting that Nintendo wasn’t as honest as they should be with fans about how games would look like on their new console. Nintendo cheated a bit when showing off the graphics potential of its new console, the Wii U, by using game footage from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. “In terms of how good it looks, that will be driven by what the individual developers do,” stated Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.

With the recent decline in Nintendo’s stock, a somewhat deceitful move like this could affect already shaky perceptions of the hardware. Why didn’t they just include a disclaimer? The Wii U launch trailer that features the “stolen” footage can be found here:
