Pokémon fans, mark your calendars. Nintendo is set to air a new Pokémon Direct on January 9 at 9:30 AM Eastern.
“Tune in on 1/9 for roughly 20 minutes of new Pokémon information in a livestreamed Pokémon Direct presentation,” Nintendo says on YouTube.
It’s not exactly clear what they might be announcing since the franchise has already been quite active as of late. We’ll leave it to you to speculate what Nintendo could be announcing.

Pokémon Sword and Shield launched on Switch back in November alongside the Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta limited edition. And as far as Pokémon Go, an update added Gen 5 Pokémon in September.
