Nuketown first appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops in 2010. The tight close quarters combat pit players in a cramped suburban style model neighborhood used for nuclear testing. The map reappeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops II as Nuketown 2025.

The new Nuketown, known as Nuk3town, is a reimagined version of the fan favorite map. It will be available as a downloadable bonus map using an in-box code for people who pre-order the game.

“The Nuketown maps have a special place in Call of Duty multiplayer history and we can’t wait to build upon that heritage in Black Ops III,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch.

“We carefully adapted the design of the map to make sure that it fit with our new movement system, but to also make sure that we retained the spirit and the fun that made fans fall in love with it in the first place,” Lamia added.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III will arrive in stores on November 6. While Black Ops III will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360, the Nuk3town map will only be included in the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
