The Forsaken Giant is a level  60 boss in Once Human that can be reached at the end of the Forsaken Monolith dungeon in the Red Sands area of Narcott Island. While most of the bosses in the game feel nothing more than DPS checks, you need a solid strategy before you face The Forsaken Giant.

This boss has an arsenal of attacks that can bring your health bar down to zero within moments of entering the arena. Add that to the fact that it periodically spawns Elites, Flyers, and basic mobs that can also mow down your health if given a chance, and you need to be extremely careful how you approach this battle when you’re playing Once Human solo.

How to Beat The Forsaken Giant in Once Human

The key to beating the Forsaken Giant in Once Human is understanding its attack patterns and learning how to respond to each move. Like most boss battles, the Forsaken Giant has certain weak spots you need to shoot to deal damage. It has six weak points: face, right palm, left palm, belly, left biceps, and right biceps.

The boss arena has three sections marked with yellow lines on the ground. Since the boss won’t attack you until you fire the first bullet, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the arena before anything else.

When you shoot at the boss, the fight will start with a slam attack. This is a guaranteed attack, so target the glowing red weak spot that appears on his biceps. This attack has a big AOE when the hand slams on the ground, which you can avoid by jumping over the shockwave.

If you see one of his palms start to glow, it’s your cue to run. The Forsaken Giant will now do a massive sweep attack. If the left palm glows, the swipe attack will come from the left side, and if the right palm is glowing, the attack will come from the right. To dodge this attack, you can either run towards the White Flowers near the boss on the opposite side or simply run to the opposite side of the arena out of range of the attack.

You’ll have three opportunities to hit the weak spot during this move:

  • When the palm starts glowing.
  • When the attack is coming towards you.
  • When the boss joins his hands after the swipe.

Alternatively, you can take this moment to heal up if your health gets too low. Since the opportunity to heal is pretty low in the fight, this should be your first priority.

The next move you need to watch out for is when the Forsaken Giant starts crying, holding both hands to his face. A glowing weak spot will appear on the head that you can target to deal good damage. But make sure you’re moving around during this phase, as tears will drop all over the arena. After this move, the boss will hold both his hands over his stomach to block off a new weak point on his belly.

The teardrops will transform into mobs that you should be able to kill without too much trouble. Glowing red orbs will spawn from defeated enemies that you can pick up and toss toward the boss to open up the weak spot on the belly. The boss will also spawn an Elite and a few Flyers, so take them down as quickly as possible. Dodging the boss’s moves while also getting attacked by additional enemies makes the fight harder than it has to be.

Once you’ve dealt enough damage to the boss, you’ll see that you can’t deal any more damage. This means the boss is going into the next phase. At this point, the boss will disappear, and you’ll notice a glowing red beam over your character. You’ve got a couple of seconds to take down any mobs left in the arena.

When the boss returns, he will start with a hand slam attack. He will target the arena section where you were standing when he spawned. Now, here’s where things get tricky—each arena section can only take three hits, after which it’ll break. When the boss transitions between the phases, he will do this move three times, targeting the section where you’ve been standing.

You should try to split up where the hits land among the three sections. If any of the section takes three hits it’ll break shrinking down the arena size. If you split up the damage, you can end the fight before any of the section breaks.

Dodging this move is pretty much the same as before. Move out of the way and jump over the shockwave. You’ll notice a weak spot glowing on his bicep during this attack, so make your shots count.

The entire fight is a war of attrition, and your main goal is to survive. As long as you dodge these moves and deal damage in the small windows that come up, the Forsaken Giant will go down without too much hassle. Adding the right weapon accessories to deal more weak spot damage is an effective way to quickly take down the Forsaken Giant boss in Once Human.
