Phoenix Point’s newest DLC comes to PC with the new game-changing Acheron enemy.
Snapshot Games has announced the first information for Phoenix Point‘s planned DLC 4: Corrupted Horizons, which will be released in October, on the same day as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platform versions.

Acheron, the game’s new opponent, poses a whole new threat to mankind, with powers that will test both new and seasoned players equally in the blockbuster turn-based strategy game. The Acheron arises in the turmoil following the arrival of the Pandorans, and while its original function is unclear, it now wreaks devastation throughout the globe.
The ever-evolving Acheron can enhance allies while hampering Phoenix agents, jump across the map, fire pepper clouds to impair attacker accuracy, or even stay back to heal loyal Pandorans, ask for reinforcements, or worse, revive deceased comrades to resume fighting.
This new adversary adds the deadly ability to spread Corruption, a new game element that impairs the desire to fight of afflicted soldiers. The only way to halt this new disease is to catch and study one of these unusual animals, but even then, the Acheron menace will always be a force to be reckoned with.
Phoenix Point‘s forthcoming DLC 4: Corrupted Horizons will be released on PC on October 1st, coinciding with the game’s official release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
