The massive multiplayer pirate adventure Atlas is now available on Xbox One via Xbox Game Preview.
Previously released on PC, the Xbox One work-in-progress version features cross-platform support on day one as well as full keyboard and mouse support, allowing PC and Xbox players to play at parity. Or if you would rather play alone, you can check out the new single-player mode.
The game sells itself as “the ultimate survival MMO.” It allows you to construct a pirate ship, assemble a crew, and explore a game world that the developers say extends 45,000 square kilometers.
Atlas is also one of the Xbox One X Enhanced games which means you can play it in upgraded 4K Ultra HD if you have the latest console. However, you need a suitable display too. The PC version was released on Steam Early Access last December and received mostly negative user reviews. The game has been patched a lot since December 2018. Recent user reviews are more mixed.
