PlayStation State of Play event to livestream next week

The next PlayStation State of Play event will be livestreamed on Tuesday, September 24 at 4 PM Eastern, Sony announced today.

“We’re preparing a pretty hefty show, weighing in at around 20 minutes and sporting a fresh new look,” Sony announced on the PlayStation Blog.

The company is mum on what they plan to announce. All they’re saying is that “we’ll have some great news to share with you, including new game reveals, new content from PlayStation’s Worldwide Studios, and a host of other updates.”

One thing that you should not expect to see is the PlayStation 5. They said that there will not be any news on the company’s next-generation plans at the event.

We’ll probably at least hear new details about The Last of Us Part 2 and perhaps some information on Insomniac, which Sony recently acquired. Personally, I’m hoping that we’ll get a Resistance reboot or remaster, although at this point in the console cycle, that might have to wait until PS5.

You can watch the State of Play event live on Sony’s Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as Twitter and Facebook. We’ll also have a livestream here on Game Freaks 365!
