PlayStation Store Back Online by Friday

Sony announced late Monday that the PlayStation Store, which has been down for over a month, will be restored by this coming Friday. The PlayStation Network, which was also down, was restored on May 14. The return of the PlayStation Store means that consumers can buy games online, redeem vouchers and codes, download demos, etc. Sony’s music service Qriocity will also be back online.

“We have been conducting additional testing and further security verification of our commerce functions in order to bring the PlayStation Network completely back online so that our fans can again enjoy the first class entertainment experience they have come to love,” said Kazuo Hirai, Executive Deputy President, Sony Corporation. “We appreciate the patience and support shown during this time.”
