Pokémon Go coins update will let you earn PokéCoins without going to gyms

Pokémon Go PokéCoins

Pokémon Go has undergone changes over the years. Now, with more people staying at home, Niantic is making it easier to earn PokéCoins.

Previously, trainers had to earn PokéCoins from defending gyms. In a test update that is being rolled out in Australia first and then worldwide, trainers will have more opportunities to earn coins.

“In order to balance this new method of earning PokéCoins, the number of PokéCoins earned from defending Gyms will be reduced from six per hour to two. The maximum number of PokéCoins you can earn in a day will be increased to 55,” Niantic says.
