If you haven’t caught a Mewtwo in Pokémon Go, now is a good time to get out a Poké Ball.
In addition to adding Gen 5 Pokémon today, developer Niantic says that Mewtwo will be available to challenge in five-star raids starting today and ending on September 23 at 4 PM Eastern.
If you’re extra lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Mewtwo. Shiny Mewtwo has his belly area and tail turn from purple to green.
Mewtwo is a Legendary Pokémon worth catching. Mewtwos that are caught in raids will have the move Psystrike, which has the strongest DPS in the entire game.
For tips on how to catch Mewtwo, Polygon has a nice little guide. They recommend a group of at least six people to take Mewtwo down.
