Ponpu demo now available on Xbox One

A demo of the upcoming Bomberman-inspired duck-on-duck action game Ponpu is available now on Xbox One.

The demo can be downloaded for free via the Microsoft Store. It will come down on July 28. This is in addition to a PC demo a few weeks ago when the game was featured during the Steam Game Festival.

You may recall that we covered Ponpu a few weeks ago. We reported that the game features both local and online multiplayer. That’s in addition to what looks like a pretty trippy single-player campaign.

Ponpu is scheduled for release this fall on Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. It is the work of indie developer Purple Tree Studio and publisher Zordix.

My Take

This looks like a unique game. I’ll share more of my thoughts in a hands-on preview after I download the demo later today.
