Capcom announced during this week’s Resident Evil Showcase that pre-orders had opened for Resident Evil Village. Only one problem: the pre-orders never went live at most major retailers. Now they are live – at least on Amazon.
Amazon has opened pre-orders for Resident Evil Village Deluxe Edition on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The Deluxe Edition retails for $69.99. So far, the only Standard Edition that they have available for pre-order is on Xbox One and Series X.
UPDATE (1/26): The PS5 Standard Edition is now available for pre-order.
As for other online retailers, GameStop is currently accepting pre-orders for all versions of the game. Walmart.com does not yet have any product pages live for any of the versions of the game.
The Resident Evil Showcase featured news about Resident Evil Village and the just-announced Resident Evil ReVerse. ReVerse is the multiplayer component included for free with Village.
Village is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on May 7, 2021. Capcom confirms that Village is eligible for a free upgrade from PlayStation 4 to the digital PlayStation 5 version. The Xbox One version supports Smart Delivery for Xbox Series X|S.
