PS5 system architecture to be revealed tomorrow

The PlayStation 5’s lead system architect, Mark Cerny, will take a “deep dive” into the console’s architecture tomorrow.

That’s according to a tweet sent out this morning from the official PlayStation Twitter account. The presentation will be carried on the official PlayStation Blog.

The announcement comes one day after Microsoft officially revealed the specs for Xbox Series X. That system looks like it will be a beast with an 8-core processor and 16GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, there’s been little official news on PS5 since Sony revealed the PS5 logo. Last year, we learned that the DualShock 5 controller supports haptic feedback and trigger resistance.

Up to this point, Sony has mostly been keeping its cards close to its chest. That should start to change tomorrow with Cerny’s presentation.
