PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is adding a new shotgun, the DBS, in the latest game update.
The DBS is a double-barrel pump-action bullpup shotgun that can only be initially obtained from care packages. Players can load up to fourteen rounds at a time.
“Thanks to those combined firing mechanics, DBS can produce massive bursts of damage in a short time span,” the developer says, noting that the maximum damage is 234 per shot.
It’s possible to attach holographic, red dot sight, and 2x to 6x scopes, although it might not make a lot of sense. The maximum effective range to deal damage is only 100 meters.
The latest update adding the new weapon – Update 4.3 – is currently live on the PC test server as part of PUBG Season 4, which launched earlier in the summer on PC and consoles. There are plans to add cross-platform play on PS4 and Xbox One in early October.
