The biggest convention in the business is not happening this year.
Both an in-person and digital E3 were cancelled this year. Instead, we’re getting a lot more events spread out over several weeks. Last week, there was the PlayStation State of Play presentation. This week, there was Summer Game Fest 2022. This coming Sunday, there’s the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.
That’s not all. Smaller publishers are also getting in on the fun as well. Devolver Digital just hosted their own show. Next month, there is Nacon Connect 2022. While all of these digital events are great ways to allow even more people to participate, there’s still nothing like the old E3.
