Tucked at the end of Capcom’s Resident Evil 3 reveal trailer today was a pretty big announcement: Resident Evil Resistance will be included with the game for free.
If you’re unfamiliar with it, Resident Evil Resistance was announced at this year’s Tokyo Game Show as a team-based survival horror game akin to Left 4 Dead. The first trailer showed four teenagers infiltrating what looks like a top-secret Umbrella lab.
This announcement means that Resident Evil 3 will launch with a single-player story and Resident Evil Resistance as an online multiplayer component. That potentially adds a lot of hours – and a lot of value – to the RE3 remake. Both games are coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 3, 2020, as a single package.
