One of the highest selling and most critically acclaimed PS3 games to date is Resistance: Fall of Man. Launching alongside the PS3 in November 2006, the developers of Ratchet and Clank (Insomniac Games) created a shooter based on a fictional war between humanity and Chimera. The game takes place in a 1950s Britain where World War II never occurred.
The game’s sequel, dubbed Resistance 2, looks to improve on the ideas of the original. The 40 player support is being expanded to 60 players in Resistance 2. While offline co-op was offered in the first and will continued to be in the 2nd game, online is now an option with up to 8 people. Finally, the storyline for the single-player and co-op will be unique to each other. Good deal, eh?
