Apex Legends has had a bit of a bitter trajectory. After the total failure of the mobile game, the future of the main game was in doubt. And although it was rumored that the game would be around for a maximum of one or two more years, Respawn has finally given an answer to this problem.

The American company has confirmed that they have opened a new studio in Wisconsin. A studio that will be dedicated almost entirely to working on Apex Legends. Allowing the game to have a lifespan of 10 to 15 years more!

Great news for Apex Legends players!

Respawn has had a rough start to 2023. The cancellation of a project associated with the Titanfall franchise; the announcement of the closure of Apex Legends Mobile; and, surprisingly, rumors have surfaced of a possible closure in a year or two of Apex Legends game.

However, the American company has been working behind the scenes and has created a third studio to be located in Madison, Wisconsin. A studio that will be 90% dedicated to securing the future of Apex Legends. But, what is most surprising is that Steven Ferreira is confident that Apex Legends will be alive for the next 10 to 15 years at the most thanks to the creation of this new studio.

“To get that life, we can’t offer everything straight away, run out of steam and not have long-term foresight,” said Ferreira. Respawn is looking to ensure that players of the main title don’t go through what mobile players went through.

Still, we’ll have to wait and see how true this is. It’s not that after getting excited, in less than 5 years the support for the game will end.
