In the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, in an interview with Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, the possibility of classic Nintendo multi-player over the internet with Revolution was discussed:
EGM: Might older offline multi-player games, like Mario Party, be altered so you could play them online with the Revolution?

Iwata: We know that we offer the past games for sure. But we are discussing the possibility of having games like Mario Party online. So if our discussion goes well, and if the technical aspects of Revolution also go well, that’s possible.
