Nintendo has added a “Rewind” feature for the entire collection of NES classics featured as part of Nintendo Switch Online.
Nintendo Switch Online has gotten a lot of flack for the selection of “free” games that Nintendo has released as part of the service. Nintendo seems to be compensating with new features like this one, which allows users to undo a mistake and “rewind” a few seconds before a misplaced jump or poorly-timed attack.
For those of us who grew up in the late 80s or early 90s, we know how notoriously difficult NES games like Mega Man, Contra, and Castlevania are, especially compared to many modern games. Although none of those games are currently in the Nintendo Switch Online NES library, the feature may come in handy for Ninja Gaiden or Super Mario Bros. 3.
