Rig Pro Compact: First Dolby Atmos Xbox controller out now

RIG PRO Compact

A controller with a lifetime Dolby Atmos license for any headphones it pairs with, a smaller form factor, and plenty of customization? That sounds pretty good to me! This is what Rig has to sell us in the United States right now.

Nacon has announced that the Rig Pro Compact is now available online at GameStop and Walmart for $49.99. The controller, officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, is also sold exclusively at stores in Canada. Black and White versions of the controller are available.

For those who don’t know any of these two companies. Rig is a premium gaming accessory brand and the leader in tournament audio for professional gaming. Rig introduced the first stadium-class esports headset in 2012 and is trusted by sound stage professionals, team coaches, and pro players during league and live events worldwide.

In 2020, Nacon acquired Rig. Nacon is a leading video game developer and designer of premium gaming accessories, including the Compact and Revolution series of controllers for console and PC.

A controller with Dolby Atmos for headphones

The Rig Pro Compact is the first controller in the world to feature Dolby Atmos for headphones. Dolby Atmos surrounds the player with game audio, allowing them to respond quickly and more reliably when they can sense the location of their attacks.

Aside from Dolby Atmos, the Pro Compact provides players with an optimal form factor and an unrivaled rate of customization. Gamers can customize their controller by remapping keys, adjusting trigger sensitivity, and manipulating dead zones using the dedicated Pro Compact App.

Pro Compact owners can enjoy Dolby Atmos for headphones by downloading the Dolby Access app from the Windows Store onto their Xbox console or Windows 10 PC. Then they simply plug in the controller via USB and connect a headset to experience immersive audio while gaming.
