Riot Games plans six new Valorant heroes a year

Valorant

Riot Games’ free-to-play first-person shooter Valorant is barely a month old. The company already has its sights set on new content.

In a new video released on Monday, the game’s executive producer, Anna Donlon, gives fans a heads-up on what to expect. She also reflects on the game’s launch.

“It was crazy shipping this game from home – away from the office, away from the team, away from all of our work stuff,” Donlon said.

She adds that players can expect a number of quality of life improvements and bug fixes. This includes things like early surrender, timeouts, and the ability to remake matches.

More importantly, though, Donlon says that Riot is aiming to release up to six new heroes every year, which she calls the “sweet spot.” By the way, major features will launch at the start of new episodes.
