Fans of the original Risen will have to wait a few more months to play the sequel – at least on consoles. Deep Silver today announced that Risen 2: Dark Waters has been delayed for PS3 and Xbox 360 until July 31 in North America. Europeans will get a chance to buy the game on August 3. PC gamers, meanwhile, will get a stab at this pirate RPG beginning April 27.

On the plus side for console gamers, Deep Silver will be offering additional content for their versions of the game. “They contain the episode ‘The Air Temple’ which features several hours of additional gameplay,” the company announced in a press release on Friday. Game Freaks 365 gave the original game a 7 out of 10 when it was released in 2010.
