The expansion and the new survivor are available on PC in March.
In Survivors of the Void, Gearbox Publishing and Hopoo Games have revealed the first of two new survivors joining Risk of Rain 2. Risk of Rain 2 is a fast-paced cooperative roguelike shooter in which players may team up with three other friends to escape the alien planet Petrichor V by playing as one of 11 distinct survivors and navigating more than a dozen situations.
Railgunner, the new survivor
Railgunner is a tactical shooter with a fast-paced gameplay style that rewards the most accurate shooters with perfect timing. It’s accompanied by a plethora of material in Survivors of the Void, as this DLC expansion expands on Risk of Rain 2‘s approachable roguelike premise with additional survivors, levels, equipment, monsters, and more.
“Risk of Rain has always been about thinking of the wildest experiences possible and making them real,” says Paul Morse, co-founder of Hopoo Games. “We gave Railgunner an FPS-style scope to challenge what our game can be, and we ended up with a dynamic Survivor we are confident many players will enjoy.”
Survivors of the Void launches on Steam on March 1. The console version of the expansion is planned for mid-2022. Risk of Rain 2 is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
