Road 96 is a new narrative game coming to Nintendo Switch as well as PC from French indie studio DigixArt.
The news was announced alongside a gameplay trailer during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase. The indie developer followed up with us to let us know more about the game.
Road 96 is a procedural narrative adventure where you must escape a country on the brink of collapse and reach the border. Only one problem: that’s thousands of miles away in the mountains.
During each run to the border, you’ll have dozens of choices to make regarding your means of travel, your interactions with the inhabitants, and if you manage (or not) to solve puzzles and stay alive. All the decisions you are making alter your experience, closing options, opening some others. Your choices matter.
We think Switch is the perfect platform to enjoy Road 96, literally ‘on the road,’ in your backpack, anywhere. The colorful landscapes and characters of Petria become even more impactful when you discover them in your hands. It’s a pleasure to have brands such as Nintendo and HP’s OMEN helping us with our little indie game.
