Ubisoft’s free-to-play game managed to capture the attention of many of its players after last year’s closed beta.
The free-to-play market is becoming increasingly attractive to the industry’s major developers. One that joins this modality, which has already tried with games like Hyper Scape, is Ubisoft, and last year we were able to test its new free-to-play game, Roller Champions.
Today on the ESRB website, we can see that the game has been listed by Ubisoft, suggesting that the release of the game for consoles, PC and even mobile devices, may be closer than we think.
A frenetic, competitive, but extremely fun free-to-play game.
Roller Champions, for those who are unfamiliar, is a free-to-play competitive sports game in which we compete in fast-paced contests that combine skating and speed. Players will battle against three-player teams, winning matches and gaining access to glory and larger arenas.
Although Ubisoft has announced that it will close the Hyper Scape servers in April, the French company will continue to bet on free to play. Roller Campions will come to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices. Ubisoft has not yet officialized anything about the launch of the game, but everything points to the fact that we will have it available sooner rather than later.
