Samurai Jack is starring in a new video game this summer

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time

Adult Swim Games just announced Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, a new game based on the Emmy Award-winning series.

The video game is being developed in partnership with Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovsky. The series’ head writer, Darrick Bachman, is putting together the game’s script for developer Soleil Games.

Set immediately before Samurai Jack’s ultimate confrontation with his arch-nemesis Aku, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is the great stoic hero’s untold final adventure. Trapped by Aku in an alternate timeline, Samurai Jack must team up with his closest friends and allies against some of the series’ most notorious villains to fulfill his destiny once and for all.

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time features classic combat and gameplay, stylized 3D art design, and the series’ renowned blend of humor and drama. The game should appeal to both long-time series fans and fans of action games.

PAX East attendees can discover more about the game at the Adult Swim Games panel. The panel will feature Tartakovsky and Bachman. You can catch it in the Dragonfly Theatre on Friday, February 28 at 1:30 Eastern.

We don’t have a release date or price yet, but fans won’t have to wait for very long. Battle Through Time is coming this summer to PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
