The stealthy-horror game A Plague Tale: Requiem is out now.
The rat game is back. The sequel to one of the top games of 2019 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. You can also play for free with an active Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Requiem reunites us with the protagonists from the first game: Amicia and Hugo. The young boy is still sick with the Macula, a mysterious illness that runs through his family’s bloodline. It’s an awful disease that you likely recall from the first game.
The rats are also back, and they’re as nasty as ever. As you can see in the Screenshot of the Week, they will strip the flesh and organs of anyone who is unfortunate enough to cross their path, leaving nothing but bone. These destructive creatures lurk in the shadows and swarm anything with meat – animals, carcasses, and humans.
Amicia avoids suffering a similar fate with fire to hold the light-sensitive critters at bay. You can use her slingshot to fling ignifer at embers or light fuel ablaze. This will clear a path for you as you make your way through the game.
