Sea of Thieves: Here’s what to expect when Season 5 launches this week

season five of Sea of Thieves

Rare continues to deliver great content for Sea of Thieves. Season 5 comes loaded with goodies.

Rare has revealed additional details about Season 5 of Sea of Thieves – which will be released this week – in a clip on YouTube. Sitting, loads of Christmas sweets, buried treasure, and other things that we will see in this new season of the pirate game will be revealed gradually.

What Rare has accomplished with Sea of Thieves is impressive. The game entered the market with a significant lack of content and some technical issues, but through hard work and a consistent program of updates throughout the seasons, it has grown to the point of being one of the most popular on Xbox with over 25 million players.

Fireworks, treasure hunting and more!

With Christmas and New Year’s just around the corner, the holidays have certainly inspired this fifth season. Not only will we receive exclusive holiday-themed game items, but we will also receive a slew of new features such as fireworks and the cannon rowboat. Perhaps the most important feature of this season is the new treasure burial mechanic. Each player can create sidequests in order for other players to find the treasures.

In addition, there will be little improvements to the game that will not go undetected, such as the ability to sit down and the set of dice that the roleplayers will get, which may be somewhat altered.

Season Five of Sea of Thieves is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on December 2, 2021.
