Sega releases Virtua Racing and Wonder Boy: Monster Land on Switch

Sega has released a pair of classics for Nintendo Switch as part of the Sega Ages lineup. Virtua Racing and Wonder Boy: Monster Land are now available on the Nintendo Switch for $7.99 each.

Yes, I know. The price is steep. I wouldn’t pay $8 each for games that are either already three decades old or going on it.

But, hey, you get “quality-of-life improvements” – as Sega is calling the new features for Virtua Racing – like an 8-player local multiplayer mode, online matchmaking, improved framerate, greater draw distance, and rankings.

Wonder Boy: Monster Land has several notable additions as well: three new challenge modes, online leaderboards, and a replay function. Does that justify $8? Ehhhhhhh…..

Still, I have to admit that Virtua Racing looks pretty cool. Eight-player local multiplayer and online play are also nice touches. For some of you, maybe that’s enough incentive.
