Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun Aiko’s Choice DLC coming this holiday

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun Aiko's Choice

The upcoming Aiko’s Choice DLC for the hugely popular stealth tactics game Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun brings back a fan-favorite character.

Aiko’s Choice, the long-awaited standalone expansion for the critically acclaimed real-time tactics game Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, has received its first gameplay video from Daedalic Entertainment and developer Mimimi Games.

The new DLC takes players back to Edo Japan and focuses on one of the original game’s characters, the kunoichi adept Aiko, as she joins her comrades in her journey to silence the demons of her past.

Aiko returns

The fan-favorite character is a master of disguise who distracts adversaries while dressed as a geisha. While Aiko thought she had left her old life behind, her previous sensei, the crafty spymaster Lady Chiyo, returns from the shadows to confront her. She goes off with her companions, a squad of lethal assassins, to hunt down the ghosts of her past.

You take charge of a squad of dangerous experts, move in the shadows, and sneak past dozens of adversaries, just as in the main game. When invading secret woodland encampments or bustling Edo-period cities, choose your approach carefully. Set traps, poison, and confuse your opponents or avoid touch with them entirely.

The expansion includes three full-fledged main missions set in entirely new settings, as well as three shorter interlude missions. Plan your every move carefully and devise your own inventive strategies to defeat adversaries and finish each of the difficult assignments to learn Aiko’s history.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun‘s new DLC, Aiko’s Choice, will be released on PC in December 2021.
