Shinsekai: Into the Depths, new IP from Capcom, out today on Apple Arcade

Apple Arcade seems to have a pretty good variety of games at launch. Among them is Shinsekai: Into the Depths, a new deep-sea exploration game from Capcom.

In Shinsekai: Into the Depths, you play as the last surviving human being on Earth who must venture into an unexplored, aquatic world. Players collect resources that allow them to upgrade their gear, craft new items, and advance deeper into the abyss.

“Diving into this all-new underwater platform game is easy for players of all skill levels to do, but surviving the deep sea is difficult to master and will challenge the most experienced divers,” Capcom says.

Shinsekai: Into the Depths is a 2.5D game with a mix of exploration, resource gathering, and combat with graphics that rival a console game. In addition, the development team at Capcom Japan recorded music and sound effects and played them through speakers that were submerged in water and re-recorded new audio.

Apple Arcade subscribers can play Shinsekai: Into the Depths on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple TV. A subscription costs $4.99 a month and gives you access to almost 60 games at launch. Earlier this week, Ubisoft announced that Rayman Mini is coming to Apple Arcade.
