Some PS3 Games May Be $50

Much speculation was raised before solid evidence of PlayStation 3 software pricing was revealed in the past week. The highest Sony will ask for PS3 games is $59.99, the same price as most Xbox 360 games. Some online pundits had said they expected prices above the $60 mark, $70 or as high as $100. That certainly does not appear to be the case.

That said, there is a faint chance that PS3 pricing will be less than you might expect. Amazon.com, as part of their online price savings, is offering some PS3 titles for $56.99. F.E.A.R. is listed as $49.99, the same price as current-gen games. At this point though, F.E.A.R. is the only game listed below $50 for the PlayStation 3.
