Sonic Racing and ChuChu Rocket Universe are out now on Apple Arcade

Sega has quietly released two new games in long-standing franchises. Sonic Racing and ChuChu Rocket! Universe are the company’s offerings for the just-launched Apple Arcade service.

ChuChu Rocket! is something of a cult favorite. The game debuted on Dreamcast as the first online game for that platform. This year marks the ChuChu Rocket! franchise’s and the Dreamcast’s 20th anniversary. Believe it or not, the Dreamcast game can actually still be played on private servers.

The Apple Arcade version, ChuChu Rocket! Universe, is in full 3D and looks better than ever. Naturally, the game supports multiplayer.

Universe has a new story and puzzles, although the goal remains the same: help the ChuChu mice escape from the KapuKapu cats. Just as in the original, you place directional arrows to help them reach their rockets.

Sonic Racing doesn’t need as much introduction. First released as Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing on Nintendo’s Wii, Sonic Racing has become a staple on most platforms ever since. The Apple Arcade version looks to be fairly hefty as it comes in at almost a gig.

Sega isn’t alone in supporting Apple Arcade among major publishers. Ubisoft released Rayman Mini and Capcom released an entirely new IP, Shinsekai: Into the Depths.
