Paramount Home Entertainment is bringing the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie to Paramount+ on May 24. Physical versions are expected later this summer.
If you’re a Paramount+ subscriber, the hit movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is about to land on the streaming service beginning tomorrow in the United States and Canada. The film will also be available to rent and purchase across digital platforms from Paramount Home Entertainment.
Paramount says that Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will arrive on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 9. In addition, fans can also purchase both the new movie and original hit film Sonic the Hedgehog in a 2-Movie Collection on Digital or Blu-ray.
Fans purchasing the digital, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray releases will find they are packed with nearly an hour of bonus features. An all-new, exclusive animated short entitled “Sonic Drone Home” featuring Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles headlines the bonus features.
For fans looking to play the games that started it all, Sonic Origins, an all-new multi-game collection is coming out on June 23. The game retails for $39.99 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

The film debuted in theaters on April 8 after getting teased during the Super Bowl. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 proved a smash hit with fans, raking in an impressive $375 million at the box office. The film stars Jim Carrey, Idris Elba, and James Marsden.
