Canadian indie developer Lillymo Games is bringing the 16-bit arcade-style space shooter Habroxia to North America on PS4, PS Vita, and Nintendo Switch later this month.
Habroxia is an homage to classic Konami space shooters like Gradius and Life Force (known as Salamander in Japan). Players blast their way through fifteen levels with boss fights, rescue missions, and shifting perspectives. The game has a ship upgrade system, fifty different enemies, and ten unique bosses.
Habroxia launches worldwide for Nintendo Switch on the Nintendo eShop on September 26 for $7.99. PS4 and PS Vita versions will be available on September 24.
A physical Limited Edition of Habroxia for PS Vita will be available for pre-order at online retailer Playasia on September 19. Limited to just 1,500 copies worldwide, the Limited Edition contains a region-free physical copy of the game, a full-color printed manual, an original soundtrack CD, a collector’s box, and an individually-numbered collector’s certificate.
