Players can see a bit more of the upcoming Life is Strange Remastered Collection in a new five-minute teaser released today. Both Life is Strange games are rendered in native 4K for the first time ever utilizing the Unreal 4 game engine. A revamped lighting pipeline is also noticeable throughout with new and updated 4K-ready character models with larger polycounts and extra bones.

All character models now have more emotional and expressive movement, more realistic hair physics, and updated tears, injuries, and more, in addition to the cosmetic upgrades. All of this was accomplished using a number of technologies that were used for the first time in these games.
We will not only observe these technological advancements in this new remaster throughout the five-minute playtime. We’ll also witness great moments from both games, with nostalgia shining through from the first second.
Life is Strange Remastered Collection launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam on February 1. Due to backward compatibility, the game is also playable on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. In addition, later in 2022, a Nintendo Switch version is planned.
