Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sells 6 million units, The Sims 4 tops 20 million

The Force is strong with these EA titles. The latest Star Wars game, Jedi: Fallen Order, posted sales of 6 million units in the quarter ending December 31, 2019. Meanwhile, The Sims 4 passed a milestone of its own.

“Sales of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order significantly outperformed expectations, reaching the high end of management’s full-year outlook,” Baird senior research analyst Colin Sebastian wrote in an email.

Sebastian calls it “a promising sign that current-gen sales trends remain healthy despite transition-year concerns.” As for Jedi: Fallen Order, Sebastian estimates that it is on track to sell 10 million units for the year.

EA’s back catalog of games is strong as well. The Sims 4 surpassed 20 million in lifetime sales at the end of the most recent quarter. The game is frequently on sale these days for around $9.99. In fact, it’s on sale right now.

And if you have PlayStation Plus, The Sims 4 will be one of the featured games in February. The franchise marks its 20th anniversary on February 4.
