Star Wars: The Old Republic Loses 24 Percent of Subscribers

The Force might not be with Electronic Arts after all. EA announced today in an annual financial report that their flagship MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, lost 24 percent of its subscribers in the past month alone. EA put the number of subscribers at 1.7 million in February. Today, the publisher confirmed that it had dropped to 1.3 million active users. Activision Blizzard’s World of Warcraft remains the top dog by a substantial margin with over 10 million subscribers.
