Summer in Mara coming to PC and Switch June 16, free demo available on Steam

Summer in Mara

Players will soon be able to set sail for a sunny archipelago as Summer in Mara launches on June 16 for Nintendo Switch and Steam. Also, explorers can dip their toes in to test the waters with a free prologue available now on Steam.

Summer in Mara is a mix of farming simulation and story-based adventure. Players visit new islands, make friends, and learn more about the evil corporation Elit, which wants to conquer Mara. The developer says that there are over 250 missions and 20+ characters to meet. Plus, there are “a host of upgrades, secrets, and treasure” to find.

“As Koa, Chibig Studio wants players to feel like they’re exploring the world of Mara to make it a better place. Character development is a huge focus for the team,” the indie developer says. “And this is reflected in the care put into the friends met, and the anecdotes of their travels.”

According to Chibig Studio, the prologue will also come to Nintendo Switch closer to launch. Both demos are free to access and available indefinitely. There are also no content restrictions. Chibig Studio says that they “welcome those who wish to share their experiences” before release.

PS4 and Xbox One launches of Summer in Mara are planned for later this year. In the meantime, check out the announcement trailer!
