The Monkey King arrives as a new playable god, along with a new map, new skins, and daily rewards.
When talking about Hi-Rez Studios, Smite, Paladins, Rogue Company, or even Realm Royale come to mind. But at the beginning of December, the American developer launched a new game that has slowly begun to gain the attention of many players: Divine Knockout. It was even given away on Epic Games Store and PlayStation Plus.
Today, Hi-Rez has announced that a new god is coming to the game: Sun Wukong. The monkey king arrives to take the victory among the 12 different playable gods in the game. And, as if that wasn’t enough, a new map and daily rewards are coming with this latest update.

Before talking about the new addition to the game, the best thing to do is to give you a brief introduction to the game. In case you are not familiar with Divine Knockout, it is a kind of third-person action-packed platformer that is commonly compared to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate because of its gameplay style. Even so, the game offers a unique but very characteristic essence of the games developed by Hi-Rez.
There is no game involving a battle that does not involve the great Monkey King. Sun Wukong arrives with a very peculiar but well-known battle style as he will blow up everyone in the game with his legendary staff. In addition, he can transform into different animals such as the tiger, and the eagle, or summon a clone to confuse the enemies.
Sun Wukong is for those players who really like action. It is a very agile and fast character but with an excessive power that makes it perfect for those who seek to do damage to the entire enemy team. If this is your style of play, the Monkey King will definitely be your next main god.
A new map, free rewards, and new skins
Divine Knockout is not only Sun Wukong. In addition to the inclusion of this god, the game has received a new map called Scuttleboat Scuffle. This new arena will be playable in 1v1 and 2v2 modes. This new arena will allow players to be more mobile, which is perfect for Sun Wukong.
In addition to being able to play in this new arena, players will be able to receive free daily rewards upon logging in. Rewards such as boosters, runes, stars, and cosmetic items are some of the rewards you can get. And, as if that wasn’t enough, two new skins are coming: The Cyber Samurai for Susando, and the First Pri-Mate skin for Sun Wukong.
In addition to all this, some gameplay changes have been made to the game’s competitive scene. Despite being a very new game with a small population of players, Hi-Rez is betting heavily on making the game more known among all players.
