Swords and Bones, a new retro platformer from Red Deer Games, is coming to Nintendo Switch consoles this week. Grab your sword and defend the Kingdom of Vestus in this action-packed adventure inspired by legendary retro games.
The Seep indie team drew inspiration from well-known genre masterpieces such as Ghosts ‘n Goblins and Castlevania. It’s time to return to your childhood with Swords and Bones, where you’ll fight your way through levels filled with monsters, escape traps, and gather power-ups and trophies in this gloomy medieval fantasy world.
A game that mixes retro mechanics with modern gameplay
The game contains over 50 levels in which action reigns supreme from beginning to end. In addition, the Seep development team has created Swords and Bones, which have beautiful art that seems like it was created in the 16-bit era.
The dark and gorgeous pixel art aesthetics harken back to classic pixel art treasures. This, combined with a midi-heavy soundtrack, ensures that both new and veteran gamers will enjoy the game from beginning to end.
Swords and Bones will be available on Nintendo Switch on February 4, 2022.
