Team-based RTS A Year of Rain now available on Steam Early Access

Daedalic Entertainment today released A Year of Rain on Steam Early Access, a team-based RTS that unites classic strategy elements with hero units and co-op team play. It looks similar to a classic Blizzard real-time strategy game with modern graphics.

A Year Of Rain’s story and multiplayer modes are built from the ground up with teams of two in mind, whether the second player is human or AI,” the developers say.

At launch, the game will feature an expansive story campaign, which is playable in either single-player or two-player co-op. The game also has a competitive 2v2 “Skirmish” mode where teammates choose between three different roles: tank, damage, and support.

A Year of Rain also features expansive base building and campaign storytelling with full cutscenes and voiceovers to complement the co-op and competitive multiplayer. It sounds like there should be plenty of content.

For a limited time, A Year of Rain is available in a two-player pack on Steam for the discounted price of $29.99.
