Thanksgiving Improves on Slow November

Even with one of the strongest lineups in 2005, it seems gamers are holding off on purchases compared to 2004. Electronic Arts’ CFO Warren Jensen says that his company had a good Thanksgiving weekend, following slow sales for the month of November. However, he warned of price drops, including Madden from $50 to $40.

According to next-gen.biz, he claimed that EA would have a 30% market share for the Xbox 360 launch. EA launched five sports games with the machine and has several more lined up in the weeks ahead. Next year it has 35 titles in development for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
