A new photo mode and new in-game spooky cosmetics await The Ascent players in this new free update.

Curve Games has announced a new free update to its cyberpunk-themed action RPG, The Ascent, as well as a post-launch roadmap that mentions a lot more game content and even a new game coming out at the end of 2022.

The Ascent‘s update has arrived with a slew of new features. Since its release, it has been a good time to be a fan of the game since there will be a continual flow of content until the next year, thanks to The Ascent‘s strong sales.

Halloween Update and Photo Mode

The Halloween update for The Ascent features a Photo Mode as well as new in-game cosmetics such as two new shirt skins and ten new weapon skins. The new Photo Mode, which must be enabled in the game’s settings, will allow players to capture photographs from a previously unseen perspective in Curve Games’ game, where we will be able to snap images of the scenarios, our squad, and opponents.

Aside from the picture mode, this new Halloween update contains the Jack o’Lantern hat, Skeleton T-shirt, and a skull face tattoo. Furthermore, from October 28 to November 1, the game gets 20% discounted. There are also four new Steam Points Store goods, including two new animated Halloween avatars and two new Halloween stickers.

Post-launch roadmap

Despite the inclusion of a substantial amount of content, the most significant item released today by Curve Games was the game’s post-release plan, which is displayed in a timeline beginning with this new Halloween update and concluding at patch #7, where a new game is announced.

The contest is also separated into two portions in this timeline: free and paid material. With this, we can affirm that what the creators previously stated, that it would be a game with premium content but with more free material for all players, is correct.

The Ascent is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The new Halloween update is available for free on PC via Steam. The update is expected to arrive soon on Xbox consoles.
