Auroch Digital has announced that the Steam game The Colonists is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year. It is also backward compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
First released on PC in 2018, The Colonists is a city-building game that draws inspiration from classics like The Settlers and Anno. It combines robots and automated production for a charming settlement building game.
What do you do?
Harvest resources and set up production lines. Construct road, boat, and train transport systems. Discover new lands and battle for survival. Increase the complexity and reap rewards as you chase productivity. The game includes both peaceful and military campaign modes, challenge trophies, and sandbox mode.
What’s new in the console version?
“We’ve worked hard to make The Colonists just as awesome on consoles as it is on PC,” Auroch Digital says.
The console version features re-designed controls build from the ground up to feel natural and fun on consoles. The user interface is also reimagined to be more accessible for players of all types. Plus, the console version has some snazzy new robot hats.
